We calibrate and recertify inside and outside diameter tapes, linear rules and circumference tapes. Our company has decades of experience not only in design, but also in the calibration and recertification of a multitude of vernier scales.
We utilize precision machines unique to Pi Tape Texas, LLC, installed on anti-vibration tables with high definition magnified optics. We have an assortment of ring gages. Our optical comparator gives us the ability to check tape accuracy, line by line, to 0.0001”. In addition, we employ our multiple Renishaw XL 80 laser systems for calibration and manufacturing. All tapes are issued a calibration certificate confirming compliance at the time of service.
This calibration was performed on location at Pi Tape Texas, LLC and completed in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. All calibration standards are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or other signatory to the CIPM mutual recognition agreement. The expanded uncertainties were calculated using the principles of the GUM and expressed at a 95% confidence interval and a coverage factor of k=2. Statements of conformance are based on measurement results being within the specified tolerances, which are unmodified by the measurement uncertainties. The Decision Rule used is a Simple Acceptance as defined in ILAC G8 with a TUR of 2:1 or greater. Decision Rules are as follows:
• Acceptable – Results within specification • Unacceptable – Results exceed specification
